Engineering prints

All over pinterest I have seen engineering print projects.
They come from staples are for a 18x24 inch one it costs only 1.79 cents.
So i decided to give it a whirl....

I love it :)

Heres how I did it.
First go to staples or online and get the picture printed. The only down side is it only comes in black and white. Also try to choose pictures with lighter backgrounds, this was a bit dark.

Then I got a foam poster board (20''x30'') I cut ut in half to make two 20''x15'' boards.

Then I used double sided tape to adhere it, it was cheaper than that spray glue stuff. I just put it at the corners and some in the middle.

Then fold each edge to make a crease. I folded the corners in first then the sides and it turned out nice, you can also cut them.

To finish it I used packing tape around the edges just to have support.

Here it is on the wall. Im gonna get three more to go above our couch.

Total cost for the project: 6 dollars
The was cheap enough for me.

My only dislike is the paper is thin so you have to careful not to crease or smoosh the paper, I had to iron mine (on low with NO steam) to get the creases out.

Good Luck

xoxo Nicole

  1. Love the big print! I've seen these engineering prints going around on pinterest too but found an even better way. It does cost a bit more, but you get way better quality and can do color and collages. So, go to snapfish.com and set up an account, if you don't have one already. They will send you coupon codes about once a week. They will often do 50% off everything but normal prints and that is the time to get your posters. I got two at $10 a piece through them and they look great! Anyway, a little more pricey, but more options. Just in case you wanted more. :)
I am excited to see what other pictures you do!

  2. Thats a good idea, I love them but James thinks they are too big so I might look into that and get smaller ones, but do the same concept.
