Six Months Old

I know I'm a little late but Jackson turned six months this month. Wow were has the time gone? It feels like just yesterday we brought him home, and at the same time it feels like he has been here for years. Well I guess he has been here for years, but as a spirit watching over us. But being a mom is one of the most amazing things, if not the most amazing thing, I have ever done. I love it so much and this gift God has given me is the greatest gift.

Anyways back to Jackson. He is a big boy. Weighing in at 22 pounds and measures a whopping 29 inches long. 22 POUNDS!!! He is a lug to carry around. We dont use his infant carseat anymore, he has a big boy carseat. He wears some 6-9 month clothing but he mostly wears 12 month clothing. He is rolling all over the place. He loves to jump in his bouncer, and squeal at us. He loves to laugh and does it often. His face lights up when James or I come into the room. I especially love his face when I come home from work, he is just so happy.

He is starting to crawl a little bit. He loves eating baby food, but I still think he likes his milk better. I wish I could say he sleeps 10+ hours at night without waking up but he doesnt and im ok with that. He usually sleeps six hours then comes in bed with us and nurses on and off till he wakes us up at 7:30. Sometimes he lets us sleep in till 8, but thats only if he is feeling generous. In the morning to wake me up, if he is in bed with us, he touches my face and wont stop......

He is such a loving baby. He loves almost everybody. He is so good with his sitters. Whenever we take him places he always smiles at the people, and church he loves to stare at everybody behind us. He just stands on my lap and makes lovey dovey eyes at all the women behind us.

One of his favorite things is his jumper, and his high chair. We put toys on his high chair tray and he can sit in there for quite a while and play play play. He especially loves his farm toy. Where you pull the handle and it spins and makes noises. Well he loves when I make the noises to. He also loves his strip of fabric. He just sucks on it throws it down, and plays with it. But his most prized toy (he thinks it's a toy) is the remote control, and not the one without batteries, he likes the one with batteries that we need to turn the tv off and on with. He likes to roll/crawl to it and push the buttons. Your watching tv then all of the sudden bam the channel is changed or some weird icon that you dont know how to get off comes on. We learned this the hard way and now we take out one battery, he doesnt know the difference.

He is the most amazing baby, I just love him so much. I cannot imagine our life without him. He brings so much joy to our lives. I dotn know if he is the reason we are sleep deprived but we are getting better at it.

We love him so much.

Well here is a picture overload :)

We love our Bubba so much :) His smile brightens our lives everyday.

xoxo Nicole

  2. Jackson is getting so big! I can't believe how much older he looks. He is a hubba bubba baby and you must be really strong from carrying him around, hahaha!
