I want to warn you this is still a work in progress.
But this is the bones of the nursery. I want to buy (mostly likely make) some art
and cute things to hang on the wall. When the baby is born and we know whether it's a
boy or girl
I want to make a balsa wood sign with it's name on it to hang above the crib.
Kind of like this, but of course it will have my childs name on it.
I thought about putting just baby on it but I want it personalized.
We have been so blessed we got this crib for
FREE!!!!!
Here it is sitting in the corner with no love :(
So on Monday for FHE James and I (Mostly James)
put it together and here is the after
It looked so nice with the bumper I made :)
So here are some more pictures of the nursery.
Before
After
This is a mock chair that actually goes in our living room but we needed it as a subsitute |
Hopefully that gives you an idea of what it looks like.
Also while doing this post I have come to realize that I have only spent
$39 dollars on the furniture.
I have been given a lot of things for free, and I feel so blessed
Everything else in the room like the decorations and bedding I got
inexpensively at garage sales, the DI, or I just had them and liked them in the room.
Babies are expensive but you dont have to brake the bank when you do have one.

What a nice crib! You are going to have so much fun with your little baby and decorating your home! Love the bumper and quilt you made. Can't believe you made those! You are so creative and thrifty. This is going to be exciting to see everything you do in the nursery!
