For all of you that read this (which is like five people, who already know this) I
would officially like to announce to the world at I am
PREGNANT!!!!!
Im about six and a half months pregnant, around 28 weeks.
Uno is its name for now since both James and I have decided to not know the sex of the
baby till its born. We have chosen names for both sexes but they are under lock and key till the birth as well.
Here are a couple of shots of my pregnant belly
Enjoy
So when my mom was here for the past two weeks we have been hard at work
Mind you this is seven in the morning..... We both have crazy hair. |
making cloth diapers. They may seem hard to use compared to disposable
diapers but they are so inexpensive when compared to
disposable diapers, you just have to wash them.
Which I'm willing to do.
This is half of the stash we made......
I absolutely love them they turned out really cute.
We decided to make boy and girl ones because just plain ones were getting boring.
This is my favorite one, Im in love with the little dinosaurs :)
Now I would give you the pattern we used and how we made them but
we used a patterned we found at Joanns in their "Babyville" collection and modified it
You can find the book and the PUL fabric here.
The only thing I will let you know is what kind of fabric we used.
Outside: we used PUL. Which is a fabric that has a special film on one side that makes its waterproof
(ie no pee will get through it, we did a couple field tests and it works)
This is the fabrice that you see with the prints and the different colors.
Inside: We used fleece, and some flannel (Ilike the softness of the fleece better)
Padding: Prefolded, and non-folded cloth diapers
I absolutely love them and I think they are absolutely the cutest thing in the world.
It made me realize how little a baby really is.
Well I hope this inspires you to go buy some PUL fabric and make cloth diapers :)
xoxo Nicole
Well now, I don't know which is cuter: Your pregnant belly or those tiny diapers.... or your moms morning hair! Bahaha!
ReplyDeleteYou really do look nice, and those diapers make me want to use cloth diapers! Actually, if I didn't have to make them or spend a thousand dollars to have someone else make them, I just might try cloth. Hmmmm.... but I really like just throwing it all away too.
I love reading your blog! When does your mom come home?
lol we spent just around 150 dollars and we have tons of material left to make bigger diapers. We found inexpensive things like fleece at the DI for a dollar... :) I was thrilled. And of course we used coupons at joanns to get better deals. But I love them.... She left on Wednesday. So she is at home right now. But just stating a fact I look really gross in all those pictures, so I would say the diapers are cuter ;)
